Racism is without a doubt a problem in New Zealand, but what is perceived as racism, and what is the cause of racism is a heavily debated topic. It seems with the progression of technology and inter-human relationships, racism has become more about the perception of race, as opposed to the actual race itself. I believe that currently society is heading down a path where our ultraobession with race is actually dividing us more, as opposed to uniting us. Although I believe that the solution to racism is by understanding different view points from all races, this can only be achieved if we allow ourselves to break the racial moulds that we have created.
